As we wish each other Happy New Year we must not forget about the great poet Robert 'Rabbie' Burns who wrote greats such as 'Address The Hagis'. Burns Night is one of the main days of celebration in the Scottish calendar. Music, dancing and feasting on Haggis, Neeps and Tatties of course with lots of tots of whiskey. It is traditional to wear your own clan of Tartan fabric of which we have a great range. Royal Stewart, Black Watch, Skye, Menzies and Mcleod to name but a few and not forgetting the tartan ribbon that we have in stock. A Burns Night supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796)
The suppers are normally held on or near the poet's birthday, 25 January.
If you are planning to impress your guests with the perfect setting for your Haggis, Neeps & Tatties we have some traditional tartan ribbons and fabrics for you to choose from. Have a look at Macgregor tartan ribbon in red and green, Blackwatch tartan ribbon in navy and green, Royal Stewart in red and blue or the nice bright Buchanan in red green and a bold bright yellow. If you want to be a bit more adventurous why not browse the tartan fabric to use for table runners to place the Haggis on, or even Royal Stewart tartan fabric to make yourself a kilt.
