Its production originates from the UK town of Bolton and is often chosen as a fabric for theatrical curtains due to the complex pattern hiding surface dust and dirt. It is ideal for schools and low-budget productions, as it’s a cheaper alternative to Wool, and it is slightly lighter in weight which makes it easier to work with.
